We have tried to create an atmosphere at the Weinstein Refractive Center that makes you feel comfortable. We meet you, we greet you, and we take care of each patient on a one-on-one basis. In 1994, I purchased my first excimer laser and since then, we have upgraded tremendously. It is amazing to me how much technology has changed over the last 12 years. Right now, we have a state-of-the-art excimer laser with iris registration. We use CustomVue technology, WaveScan technology, we have an IntraLase laser on the premises. All of our surgeries are done on the premises. You do not have to go to another center and we use state-of-the-art technology. We have always maintained that we have to keep the equipment up-to-date. It is amazing to me to see the differences in the technology. When I first started to do laser correction, the first laser that I used could not do astigmatism. The treatment area was fixed, you could not enlarge it, and now we can treat individuals as if we are treating a fingerprint pattern of their eye, so it is a very individualized procedure.
